Do you like The Pitt? Here’s a few Acting Opportunities for you!

K-State Theatre has been asked for actors to serve as Simulated Patients/Clients for the Addiction Counseling/Social Work and Athletic Training Programs. These can be great practice for naturalistic acting of nuanced characters and help lead to employment opportunities in health care simulations- a rapidly growing field. You’d also be helping fellow students care for their clients/patients in more effective ways.

Short description: After a brief training, actors will review a detailed “character” background of a person the student may work with in their field. The actor will then have a guided improvisation, simulating a real-life experience for the student to interact with.

When: Various times throughout the semester, usually only an hour or two at a time.
