Canadian singer, trumpeter, songwriter, arranger, and bandleader Bria Skonberg will give masterclasses for K-State students and faculty on Monday, September 22 at 10:30-12:20 in McCain Room 201.
Winner of the 2017 Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year, the Wall Street Journal described her as “one of the most versatile and imposing musicians of her generation.” While at K-State, she will offer guidance on developing improvisational skills, singing for instrumentalists, songwriting techniques for jazz musicians, band leading, and navigating the professional world.
