The J2 Duo from Central Washington University (John Neurohr, trombone, and Jiyoun Chung, piano/composer) will present a recital of 21st-century music for trombone and piano at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15 in All Faiths Chapel. Composers whose works will be performed are Jiyoun Chung, Kevin Day, Reena Esmail, and Susan Mutter.
Since its founding in 2023, the J2 Duo has performed at numerous conferences and festivals, most recently at the College Music Society International Conference in Bogota, Colombia. The J2 Duo is steadfast in its mission to broaden the repertoire canon by commissioning and performing works by historically underrepresented composers.
