Juneteenth Performers Needed

Dear Students,

The Juneteenth committee in Junction City is looking for an individual or group to perform as a re-enactor(s) for the history of their celebration.  It’s planned for June 15^th from 1 to 7. Organizer, Melanie Laster, says you can volunteer or be paid.  “We just want our Juneteenth celebration to involve teaching those in attendance about the importance of the holiday.” She clarified, “a 15 to 20 minute skit depicting this special day would be wonderful or choosing someone to re-enact is fine as well.”
