It’s that time of the semester again when I start looking for volunteers to work on props for the spring shows. I have both prop master and assistant positions available, so if you are interested but not sure if you want to oversee a whole show, there’s still an opportunity for you to get involved!
The prop master needs to be available to attend all production meetings, designer watch, technical rehearsals and strike (you do not need to attend performances). Assistants are welcome to attend these, but it is not mandatory. At the end of this post is a document with all the relevant dates for each production.
If you would like to work on “Sweat” and are available over winter break, especially the week of Jan. 10, that is probably when most of the prop work on that production will need to happen. It’s not a complicated prop show, but there is quite a bit of stuff that will need to be pulled from storage and prepped.
I’ll be at the Dec. 9th Spring Company Production Meeting (more info) to answer any questions you might have, or send me an email at kvoecks@ksu.edu.
Let me know if there’s a particular show you would like to work on. It should be a fun semester!
Thanks!
