Camp Walden, a 7-week sleepaway camp for girls in Maine, is looking for a costumer!
Responsibilities
- Design and create costumes for each camper in the musical productions each week.
- Work with a team of 7 in the theatre department to put together the bunk shows.
- Live in a cabin with campers (female only.) We do have a few spaces available for staff who would rather not live with campers.
- Be a part of the greater camp community through work in the theatre, at meals, evening activities and all-camp events.
Qualifications
- Experience sewing on a sewing machine
- Experience taking measurements
- Interest in working with children
Compensation
- 2,000-2,500
Camp Walden focuses on leadership, skill building, and community. Their beautiful and rustic setting continues to be the “happy place” of many generations of past and current Waldenites. As a fun fact, they are the Parent Trap camp! Annie and Hallie were Walden campers and their parents directed the film and chose to base the camp around their daughters’ experience at Walden.
