Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is providing four opportunities this year for all faculty, staff, majors, and minors to attend a professional production in Kansas City. The first opportunity this semester will be to attend the Lyric Opera of Kansas City’s production of Cavaleria Rusticana and Pagliacci. These are both very famous and beautiful operas that are often paired together in one production.
We are attending the final dress rehearsal. The opera begins at 6pm on Thursday, September 21. Please sign up at the form below by Tuesday, September 12. This is free for you to attend.

There will be a limited number of seats available in university vehicles for free travel. Vehicles will leave campus around 330p from All Faiths Chapel. Dinner will not be provided, but we will stop somewhere along the way. Seats will remain available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may also choose to carpool with other students on the timeline of their choice and meet Dr. Pinkall at 530p at the Kauffman Center. If you have friends who want to attend who aren’t majors/minors, they may sign up to be a minor with the button on our homepage https://www.k-state.edu/mtd/ Faculty who sign up may be asked to drive university vehicles.
These free field trips are very fun ways to build friendships, see the professional world, or even see your very first opera!
