Diversity Summit

Hello everyone!

Students in the College of Arts and Sciences are hosting a Student Diversity Summit on Wednesday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Courtyard. The event is come and go as you please.

The summit will focus on understanding cultural competencies at K-State and highlighting why this understanding is vital to the creation of an inclusive environment. Featuring student speakers and an interactive panel discussion, the event is open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. 

Student speakers include Mary Abounabhan, Navante Peacock, Muhammad Sajidur Rahman (Sajid), Lindsey Medina, and David Beckley. The panel participants will be Navante Peacock, Muhammad Sajidur Rahman (Sajid), Lindsey Medina, David Beckley, Tendai Munyanyi, Adam Carr, and Israel Mendoza.

 The summit will also showcase various diverse student organizations before and after the event, giving students the chance to learn more about opportunities for participation.
